Long-Term Acute Care
With years of experience in pulmonary and critical care, our
cardiopulmonary team focuses on the goal of safely liberating patients
from their dependence on breathing machines. Many of these patients
had been previously classified as chronic ventilator-dependent patients.
Our services include:
• Intensive weaning protocol with 60-70% liberation rates
• Respiratory therapy 24/7
• High flow oxygen therapy/CPAP/BiPAP
• Nutritional monitoring and introduction of solid foods
• Insertion of in-line speaking valves on vents
• Decannulation and post decannulation care
Members of our clinical team round weekly to evaluate patients, with the
goal of successful decannulation and minimizing oxygen dependency.
